Yanfeng Seating South Africa Launches G45 Project Yanfeng Seating South Africa unveiled their G45 Project today at their factory within the Automotive Supplier Park, Rosslyn. This development marks a significant milestone for the company, as they will be producing seats for the new BMW X3 model.
The event saw a gathering of key figures from both the automotive industry and local government. Paul Livett, Head of Purchasing at BMW South Africa, expressed his gratitude for the longstanding partnership between Yanfeng and BMW South Africa. Livett emphasized the importance of teamwork in achieving excellence. “A good seat depends on a good team,” he said, acknowledging the collaborative spirit and dedication displayed by both Yanfeng’s management and employees.
Anton Fiets, Industry Development Executive at AIDC, extended his congratulations to Yanfeng Seating on this significant achievement. He reiterated the AIDC’s commitment to being a crucial and dependable partner in supporting both Yanfeng and the broader automotive industry. “The creation of 500 jobs through this project is a testament to the positive impact of strategic collaborations,” Fiets noted.
Fiets also highlighted the strategic advantages of the Automotive Supplier Park, emphasizing how its location enables suppliers like Yanfeng to deliver components to BMW with precision and efficiency. This strategic positioning not only facilitates Just-In-Time delivery but also helps reduce logistics costs.
